Happy 1st Birthday Haven!

I can't believe my baby is one. The time has gone by so fast. She is such fun and happy baby and we love her so.... much.

That's my girl! Enjoying every bit of her cake. She definitely gets her love for sugar from her mom!

My two cute girls.

Lately...

Just a few fun things that have been going on in our lives lately.

Haven is growing up so fast. She will be 1 on the 10th of this month. I can't believe the time has gone by so fast. She is such a fun and happy little girl. She has been experimenting with the idea of walking for a few weeks now, but hasn't fully decided to take off. Harley is a great big sister and loves to help her. I feel so blessed to be the mom of these two sweet girls!

Harley's latest thing is the cat. We only have one cat left out of about 6, and she's loves it to death. I say death because I'm afraid that is what's going to come of the poor thing one of these days!!! She loves to lock it in the old chicken coop so it doesn't get away from her.

More Snow......

It is February 19th and it is snowing again...... I know that is not unheard of, but I am ready for Spring. Harley and Haven had fun playing out in it for awhile this morning. We've yet to build a snowman this winter because the snow is never just right! We tried again this morning, but failed miserably;)

Future Duchesne Cheerleader!

Harley loves going to the ball game and watching the cheerleaders. She comes home and rehearses her cheers for us. Some of her favorites are "DHS Go Eagles" and "Rebound That Basketball". She even has the "woo hoos", kicks and jumps down pat! What a character she is. I bought her a cute little uniform off of the internet so she could be more official when she's cheering. We've had a struggle getting her to wear the full uniform (she's at that stubborn "I'll do what I want to" age). All she wants to wear is the skirt and kick shorts. Randy bribed her into putting it on to show him and we quickly snapped a few pics.

Harley's 3rd Birthday

I have been a huge slacker the last little while but wanted to share with you guys a few pictures from Harley's 3rd Birthday. She is such a sweet little girl. She is talking up a storm and loves to talk on the phone to anyone that calls. She is my little helper. She loves to put the laundry in the washer for me and help with dinner and dishes. She is just starting to get used to the idea that she has a little sister and she has to be nice to her (almost a year later)! She loves to spend time with her Dad and jumps at any chance she has to go with him. We love you "Harley Bug" and feel so blessed to have your sweet little spirit in our family:)

After hours of chasing, I finally got a shot at this nice buck.

Happy Halloween...

Carving Pumpkins with a pie server!!!

I couldn't find our pumpkin carving kit, so these are our creative, free-handed pumpkins. It's a good thing Harley didn't want a Cinderella carving---I'm not sure I could have pulled that one off!

My adorable little duck and precious princess! Love these sweet girls.

Haven enjoyed chewing on all of the candy before Randy handed it out at the trunk-or-treating!

After we were all out of candy and kids were still coming, Harley was so sweet to share some of her candy with the other trunk-or-treaters!

More of Our August Adventures...

Randy rode in the Duchesne County Fair Arena Cross again this year. He took 2nd place in one of his divisions and had a good time. He's still a kid at heart!

Harley is definitely following in her Dad's footsteps. She just can't seem to get enough of motorcycles.

Harley is my "big helper" lately and is fascinated with feeding, changing, bathing, etc...... Haven.

Sweet little Haven is growing up too fast. She is such a fun and happy baby!

While up camping, we caught a few fish. Harley didn't know whether to laugh or cry while she was holding the fish. As long as it wasn't moving she was ok, but the second it gave the slightest of a wiggle, she was screaming!

August

August was a fun and eventful month. Here are a few of the highlights.

Haven enjoying a messy otter-pop during the very hot Duchesne County Fair Parade.

Dad and his girls after a day of hauling hay. Bet he never thought he would one day have an arm full of little girls on the tractor with him!!!

Harley on her new bike. We were thinking it might take her awhile to figure this bike out after riding her tricycle, but considering that we were running after her to keep up, I think she's got the hang of it! What a character.

Randy and I took the girls camping up to Rock Creek. We had a blast fishing, going on walks and taking Harley on lots of bike rides. Haven was a trooper and played and played in her little bouncer. Fun times!

Randy built a swing-set for the girls which they love. What a great dad:)

Darn Those Pants....

Harley was trying to fill her arms as full as she could get them with books the other day, but she kept dropping them---right along with her pants! She'll despise me one day for posting these cute pictures, but bless the sweet little girls heart! What a cutie ;)

A Very Merry Christmas!

We had a great Christmas this year (as we do every year). We got a lot of very nice gifts and had a great time seeing all our friends and family.

Christmas Eve with her new baby doll.

Loving every second of her dry-erase marker board table. Pay close attention to the Christmas morning "bed head" and "chocolate mustache"! They took a lot of work! What a fun girl!

Spoiled girl! We had to clear a spot in the living room just so we could fit all of her Christmas treasures in for a quick picture. They're only little once right!

Taking good care of her baby doll. She's going to be a big help with her new sister!

Surprise.....more Elmo!

Ward Christmas Party

Harley had a blast at the Ward Christmas Party this year. She got up on stage and sang "Jingle Bells" and "Once There Was A Snowman" with all her friends from Nursery. She was very excited to see Santa. She told him she wanted a baby for Christmas!

The Cutest Kids

Grandma Jan bought Harley and Cameron matching shirts for pictures. As you can imagine, we had quite the time getting them to cooperate for us while we snapped a few shots. We managed to get a few though. Are they not just the cutest little kids EVER!

The Invasion

As you can see by these pictures, we are literally being INVADED by grasshoppers. When we walk through the grass, it looks like it is moving because there are so... many. We have tried poison flakes and spray (as much as we dare with Harley around). It kills a lot of them, but not near enough. On hot days, they just cover the roads and anything else they can find. They are lousy on our sidewalks and on the skirting of the house and shop. Harley and I constantly are digging smashed grasshoppers out of our toes from wearing flip-flops. Gross!! A week or so ago they sprayed by airplane. Finally, we are seeing a little relief from the nasty pests!
